About Us

Santa Cops is a non-profit organization consisting of representatives from the Greeley Police Department, Evans Police Department, Weld County Probation Department, Colorado State Patrol, Weld County Corners office, and community liaison’s from within Greeley.

Santa Cops was founded in 1986 by Officer Dave Volpe, of the Greeley Police Department.

Santa Cops of Weld County is dedicated to providing toys to children who would otherwise receive nothing at Christmas. We will strive to improve Police-Community relations and give to those throughout Greeley and Evans who might otherwise be forgotten.

Each Christmas season, officers in Greeley and Evans personally deliver these presents to the children of the families that are referred to our program. Families must live in Greeley/ Evans District 6 to be eligible.

We provide over 5,000 gifts to families in our community each year.

Each family is personally referred by one of our referral agencies. We work closely with District 6 Schools to identify families who are great recipients of Santa Cops.

Santa Cops is strictly a volunteer organization and each donation is directly put towards the program, providing gifts for children and for the operational expenses of the program.
