GREELEY, Colo. – This is a follow up to a press release issued on June 19, 2024, regarding Leslie Elizama Vicente Vicente, 19, being reported missing after attending an event in Greeley on June 13, 2024. The original release information can be found at www.GreeleyPD.com/Media-Releases.
On June 19, 2024 the Greeley Police Department and Colorado Bureau of Investigations issued missing person alerts for Leslie Elizama Vicente Vicente. During the late evening hours of June 19, an employee of a Weld County gravel quarry called 911 after observing signs that a vehicle went into a body of water near the quarry. This was in the area of US Highway 85 and Weld County Road 22.
Members from the Greeley Police Department and Fort Lupton Police Department Police Department, as well as Dive Team members from the Greeley and Fort Lupton Fire Departments responded to the scene. The Dive Team members subsequently recovered the body and lone occupant of the submerged vehicle.
The Weld County Coroner took possession of the body and next-of-kin notifications have been made. The coroner positively identified the body as that of Leslie Elizama Vicente Vicente. Ms. Vincente Vicente and her vehicle were recovered in Fort Lupton, Colo.
