Investigators seeking information on homicide investigation

On Monday, August 2, 2021, at around 1:00 am Evans and Greeley officers responded to the 2000 block of 31st Street Road on information that a male was laying on the ground. Officers found a male laying on the sidewalk who suffered an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His identity is being withheld until next of kin notifications have been made.

The subsequent investigation revealed the victim was shot at, by an unknown individual, who was one of four people walking eastbound in the 2000 block of 31st Street Road. Further investigation showed four people walking in the area who are also suspected of breaking into cars before the shooting.

The victim was walking in the area and seen on surveillance cameras. The suspects were also seen on cameras, in the attached images, but have yet to be identified. Anyone that has information regarding this incident is encouraged to come forward to law enforcement.

The Greeley Police Department is requesting that you please contact Detective Robert Cash at 970-350-9601 with information related to this case. Crime Stoppers of Northern Colorado is also offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the individual responsible for the shooting.

No additional information will be released today.
