Road Rage Incident Leads to Several Attempted Car Jackings

GREELEY, Colo. – On Sunday, October 2 at 2:55 p.m., Greeley Police officers were called to a road rage incident near Highway 257 and 10th Street. Officers arrived in the area shortly after and found that the suspect had already fled the scene.

The road rage incident escalated to the point that a suspect in his vehicle intentionally rammed the other vehicle on the roadway. The male suspect then stopped and exited his vehicle before he attempted to car jack several vehicles that had also stopped. When these attempts were thankfully unsuccessful, the suspect ran from the area on foot and is still at-large.

Officers discovered that the suspect’s vehicle was stolen after checking for owner information. It was also discovered that just prior to this incident, the Loveland Police Department had attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled from them into Greeley.

We are asking the public to contact us if they were one of the victims of the attempted car jackings and/or if they witnessed any portion of this incident. No additional information will be released today and the case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to please contact Officer Riddle at 970-350-9605.
