Shooting 19G089703 2100 Block of 18th Street Rd.

On October 9, 2019, at approximately 2358 hours, officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of 18th street road on a report of a shooting.

Officers received information that an adult male had just shot one of his roommates.  Officers arrived on scene and contacted the male shooter, who was identified as Stephen Wilson-Brown. Wilson was taken to the Greeley Police Department to be interviewed by detectives. Additional officers responded into the residence where they located an adult male victim, with an apparent gunshot wound to the right foot.  The victim was identified as Samuel Morgan.

Samuel Morgan was rushed to a local hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.  He received a gunshot wound to his right foot with a 12 gauge shotgun.

The suspect and victim were at odds about a third female roommate, an apparent love triangle, and the argument then apparently regressed to the point Wilson shot Morgan in the foot when they further argued about cigarettes.

Wilson was arrested and transported to the Weld County Jail where he is being held without bond for the following charges:

Assault in the second degree (F4)

Menacing (F5)

Prohibited use of a firearm (M2)
