GREELEY, Colo. – On Thursday, December 8, 2022, Greeley Police officers were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of 11th Avenue on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located an 18-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency medical services were summoned to the scene and the victim was rushed to a local hospital. The victim underwent surgery and is currently listed in critical condition. There were no other injuries to anyone else in the home.
Greeley Police detectives were called to the scene to assist with the investigation. We are asking the public with help locating possible surveillance footage from the areas around the scene. If you live near 11th Avenue and 14th Street in Greeley, and have a surveillance system, please review your system for any footage from 5:00 p.m. on December 7, 2022, through 6:00 p.m. on December 8, 2022.
The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation and no arrests have been made. Currently, we believe that this was an isolated incident and that there is no on-going threat to the community.
