Weld County Drug Task Force – Numerous Narcotic Arrests

GREELEY, Colo. – In December 2023, the Weld County Drug Task Force (WCDTF) began to receive information into multiple suspects who reside in Greeley of being involved in distributing large amounts of methamphetamine and counterfeit M-30 pills suspected of containing fentanyl throughout Weld County.

During the course of the investigation, there was information being obtained indicating that these individuals were part of a larger drug trafficking organization (DTO) which sprawled across Northern Colorado and into the Denver metro area.

Information was shared amongst the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force of Larimer County (NCDTF) who had developed additional information concerning connections of supply outside of the Weld County area. The DEA, FBI, NCDTF, Greeley Police Special Enforcement Team (SET), and WCDTF joined their investigative resources to further the investigation. The investigation sprawled across state lines and intel was developed that narcotics were being trafficked into Colorado from various regions of the United States and Mexico.

On March 26th, the Colorado State Patrol and Mesa County Sheriff’s Office assisted with this investigation and contacted a vehicle traveling east on I-70 toward Denver. This vehicle had approximately 100,000 M30 suspected fentanyl pills, 4 pounds of cocaine, and 2 pounds of methamphetamine located inside of it.

On March 28th, 2024, and March 29th, 2024, search warrants were executed in the Greeley, Fort Collins, and Denver area. During the execution of these search warrants, investigators located an array of narcotics. This joint investigation yielded approximately 685 grams of methamphetamine, 110,000 counterfeit M-30 pills suspected of containing fentanyl, 5 pounds of cocaine, 974 grams of heroin, as well as three firearms with bulk amounts of ammunition. Ultimately, several arrests have stemmed from this investigation reference narcotic related charges, and the Weld County District Attorney’s Office is responsible for prosecuting the case.

No additional information will be released today.
