Greeley Police Investigate Homicide of Juvenile Female

GREELEY, Colo. – On Friday, June 16, at approximately 3:44 p.m., the Greeley Police Department responded to a home in the 400 block of 35th Avenue reference a shooting. Officers arrived shortly after and located a juvenile female gunshot victim. Greeley Fire and Medics also responded, but the victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

The Greeley Police Investigations Unit will be leading the investigation and multiple other units responded to assist with the scene. A short time later officers identified, located, and arrested a juvenile male suspect without incident. The suspect was transported to a juvenile correctional facility and booked in on charges of Felony Murder, First Degree Burglary, Aggravated Robbery in addition to other charges.

Due the age of the suspect and victim, we will not be releasing their photos or names at this time. The identity of the victim will be released at a later time by the Weld County Coroner.
